Sanitary 3 Way Ball Valves
Sanitary 3 way ball valves are designed to divert, combine, or redirect product flow in hygienic processing systems. Unlike standard 2-way valves, a 3 way valve incorporates three ports within a single valve body, allowing multiple flow paths and reducing the need for additional valves and fittings.
These valves are manufactured from 316 stainless steel and feature tri-clamp end connections for quick installation, cleaning, and maintenance. Available in both T-Port and L-Port configurations, sanitary 3 way ball valves are commonly used in food processing, beverage production, dairy operations, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and biotechnology applications.
➤ To compare flow paths and determine the best configuration for your application, see our L-Port vs T-Port Ball Valve Guide.
Sanitary T-Port vs L-Port Configurations
- T-Port: Used for mixing, combining, splitting, or distributing flow between multiple process lines.
- L-Port: Used for diverting flow between different process lines or selecting between fluid sources.
Advantages of Sanitary 3 Way Ball Valves
- 304 stainless steel construction for corrosion resistance and sanitary service
- Tri-clamp connections for quick assembly and disassembly
- Suitable for CIP (Clean-In-Place) and sanitary processing systems
- Available in T-Port and L-Port flow configurations
- Helps reduce system complexity by combining multiple flow paths within one valve body
Common Applications
