• Used for:

• ● For Example: a 1/2" union will thread onto a 1/2" male pipe thread.

A pipe union fitting is a pipe connector used in plumbing, fluid handling and industrial systems to connect two pipes or two male threaded components together. A union fitting consists of three components: two end pieces with female threaded and a central nut which when tightened joins these ends together. This feature of having a central tightening nut and two threaded ends makes it easy to connect and disconnect two pipes without any rotation or movement in the pipes. The tightening nut allows for a quick and easy assembly and disassembly process, which makes them ideal for situations that require frequent replacement of components for maintenance, or systems that will expand and require additions.  They are also suitable for connecting threaded pipes in straight runs facilitating the extension of a pipeline. The internal threads of this stainless steel union coupler will thread onto male pipe threads of the same size. These NPT union fittings have tapered National Pipe Threads (NPT), which form a secure, leak-proof connection when correctly installed.
