Socket Weld Ball Valve Description:
A three-piece socket-weld ball valve uses socket-weld ends instead of threads, allowing the valve to be welded directly onto the pipeline. When the valve is welded in place, the connection becomes permanent and very robust, which helps prevent leaks and keeps the line secure under pressure. This style of valve is chosen for jobs where the connection absolutely has to stay put and can’t risk loosening over time. Because the welded ends are fixed in place, the valve body can still be removed for service, which makes upkeep easier in systems that need reliable, long-term performance. The solid welded joint gives the installation extra strength and a tight seal, making it a good fit for demanding applications.
- Advantages:
- ● Three-piece body design allows for the central body section to be removed for maintenance.
- ● Welding creates a permanent connection, which is secure and leak-proof.
- ● Strong connections which increase the structural strength of the application.
- ● Socket weld connections are easy to weld and reduce installation time when compared to butt weld fittings
- ● Full Port.
Features:
- ● Suitable Media: Water, Oil, and Gas (WOG)
- ● Threads: Female NPT
- ● Seals: Teflon (PTFE)
- ● Port: Full Port
- ● Handle: Blow-Out Proof
- ● Handle Locking Device: Locked in the open or closed position.
