 A king combination nipple is a threaded hose connector used in fluid handling and is designed to connect tubes and hoses to fittings, pipes, pumps, valves or other threaded components. This allows hoses and tubes to be adapted to threads. King nipples are cylindrical shaped with threads on one side, and a barbed hose shank on the other side. The external thread of the KC nipple will thread into a female thread of the same size, while the hose shank will install into a hose or tube. The hose shank has a series of barbed ridges along its cylinder shape that grips the inside of a hose, which ensures a tight leak proof seal. To install the hose shank simply slide it into a hose of the same diameter and then fasten with hose clamps. In this way, threads can be installed onto the end of a hose or tube. King nipple fittings have tapered National Pipe Threads (NPT threads) , which when properly installed form a secure and leak-proof connection. This makes KC Nipples ideal for a wide range of industries, including in food & beverage, manufacture, agriculture, construction, irrigation, fuel & oil and in plumbing, basically wherever a hose needs to be adapted to a system with threads. They are manufactured out of stainless steel 316 which makes them durable, corrosion resistance and rust resistant.
