These threaded foot valves are submerged and fitted on the water suction hose to keep the pump primed. The valve allows a one-direction flow, which prevents the water from leaking out the suction tube keeping it fully primed for the pump. The Strainer keeps the suction hose clear by preventing debris from entering and therefore keeping your pump safe from particulates.
